Forget-me-nots are a symbol of true love and one of our best loved garden flowers. There are many varieties of forget-me-nots, including some that grow in the wild. And some cheap varieties which are renowned weeds – we do not supply these! Our ‘Blue Ball’ forget-me-nots are an exquisite garden cultivar, sourced especially for their dense cover of deeply-saturated blossoms. They’re easy to grow and once established they will freely seed and return each year. Best sown in early spring or late summer and into early autumn. Early sowings normally bloom the same year. Plants grown from later sowings will overwinter and bloom the following spring. Autumn-sown forget-me-nots produce more flowers because the seedlings benefit from the overwintering period. The dainty deep-blue blossoms are amongst the first to bloom in spring and flower through to summer. They provide a valuable source of nectar to bees emerging from hibernation and attract an array of pollinators.
